Senator Jay Costa: Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. And let me start by saying Thank you for the opportunity to participate in today’s very special and important program. I really want to echo the very thoughtful and eloquent and the historical perspective that was offered by my good friend and my colleague is fellow chair of the committee, Senator Randy Vulakovich. I think he laid out very clearly many of the issues that all of you who are here today and folks who are watching on PCN and all of our veterans across this commonwealth dealt with as it related to your experience. I just want to stand up and say thank you. Thank you for your service. Thank you to your families for the commitment and the sacrifice that they made. And certainly I want to say thank you to, and honor, all those folks who are not with us today. Some of them who’ve been injured and are not able to join us. Some of them who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Some of them, who as we stand here today in this ceremony, continue to be missing in action. I’m very, very grateful. My family is very grateful for… And all the families across this commonwealth and across this country are grateful for the sacrifices that you all made and the situations that you all provided. You thrust yourself into on behalf of not only our commonwealth but our country as a whole. So, I really want to stand here and say thank you for your commitment and your dedication to this commonwealth and to this country. It won’t be forgotten and that’s exactly what today’s program is about; raising the awareness and raising the appreciation for the men and women who sacrifice so much. Thank you for your service. Thank you for being here. And most importantly, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to participate. Thank you.
