Please join Senator Jay Costa, state and national teen suicide prevention organizations and medical and educational professionals for a discussion on teen suicide awareness and prevention.
Teens and young adults, now more than ever have the I world as their audience via social media. This creates a space where they broadcast their lives in real time. Unfortunately some are starting to use those forums to broadcast disturbing and harmful acts, including suicide, as reported by many national news outlets. With the Netflix series “13 Reasons Why” putting teen suicide at the forefront of main-stream media, I felt it imperative to bring parents, medical and educational professionals as well as suicide prevention advocates together to discuss this important issue. Let’s work together to save lives.
